Finding The Best Drop Shipping Or Wholesale Product

Finding The Best Drop Shipping Or Wholesale Product

In order to run a successful ebay or online store business, you need a quality product.

But the one problem with trying to find a wholesale or dropshipping product is the prevalence of scams. As a result, many people risk getting ripped off by websites that offer bogus merchandise.

So before you go out and try to find a product at a wholesale discount, you should follow a few simple rules. When you are looking at a wholesale source, you should look for:

• A large selection of items that can be easily sold
• Companies that have full contact information listed on their website
• Websites that are updated at least once a week
• A refund policy if you are not satisfied with their listings

While you are researching different wholesale sources, you should decide on how you will be handling your merchandise. Basically you have to decide if you will purchase wholesale products upfront or arrange for a dropshipping agreement. Each choice has its own set of advantages or disadvantages. Let’s explore both choices…

When you purchase wholesale sources upfront, there are a few advantages. The best part is that you can have absolute control of your merchandise. You can avoid the risk of offering products that are not instock or available for shipping. In addition, with wholesale products you have a better chance of finding a wider selection of goods.

The disadvantage of purchasing wholesale sources is you have to spend money on merchandise that might not sell. So if you aren’t sure about a product, then it’s a risk to purchase goods.

With dropshipping there is a major advantage- you don’t have to make any upfront purchases. This is a great solution for people that don’t know what to should sell. All you have to do is offer your product. When it sells, you send an email to the drop shipping company and they will ship it for you

But as mentioned before, it is often difficult to find the perfect item to resell. So you might have a bit of difficulty discovering the an item that is in high demand and will have a dropshipping agreement.

Whichever solution you decide to pick, one of the best places to purchase is from World Wide Brands.

Created by eBay Radio Host Chris Malta, WorldWide Brands is considered by many to be the best source for discovering drop shipping and wholesale sources. The researchers at this site make every effort to discover legitimate wholesale sources.

Ways To Avoid Dropshipping Pitfalls

Ways To Avoid Dropshipping Pitfalls

dropshipping business in the UK is in its infancy stage but it is a massive business in the USA. The most interesting aspect of dropshipping business is that anyone who is looking to develop their own ebay selling business without investing in stock can do it easily. The trick to this dropshipping method is that you can offer a million dollars worth of merchandise by mail without ever buying or stocking a single item. You work is merely do the advertising, meet orders at your address, then forward the orders to your suppliers with your wholesale price and they send the item to your customer.

It is easy and effective and it works for many large and small mail order firms. But, at the same time it could not be denied that like many other businesses there are upsides and downsides in the business of dropshipping. drop shipping can be used profitably if the pitfalls are coped successfully. One of the biggest disadvantages is that your customer will possibly give you a negative feedback for not getting the ordered item on time because your dropshipper ran out of stock. They do not care to know the reason of such delay. They emphasizes on getting the item on time for what they have paid. If you encounter such problems then I fear that you will have to close your eBay business goodbye. Therefore it is essential to maintain close contact with your dropshipper, and even have insight in his stock to keep your business continuing. Better it would be if you buy a pallet of product in advance and have the dropshipper store it in their warehouse.

Next disadvantage is market saturation where you have to keep your business policy different from the others when dozens of other people are selling the same products, supplied by the same dropshipper. No doubt what you offer as an extra benefit to your customer with your principal product but in a list of different suppliers of the same product you will only stand a chance when you are the cheapest. Yes, shopping sites are ruthless and especially when everybody is trying to sell the same product. The trick played here is that you have to make your selling in such a way that it brings profit to you as well as it appeals the customer. So the art of successful dropshipping is finding the products that have not yet been overexposed on the internet.

Using merchandise of dropshippers can be an attractive opportunity if you can find products that have not yet been overexposed on the internet surrounded by dozens of other people are selling the same products, supplied by the same dropshipper and keeping close contact with your dropshippers and always be aware of your costs.

What’s all the Buzz about Drop Shipping?

The latest buzzword among eBay sellers is “dropshipping.” But, if you’ve never heard the term before, it must be a bit confusing.

First, what is drop shipping? Well, Wikipedia describes dropshipping as:

“Drop shipping is a supply chain management technique in which the retailer does not keep goods in stock, but instead transfers customer orders and shipment details to wholesalers, who then ship the goods directly to the customer. The retailers make their profit on the difference between the wholesale and retail price.”

Huh?

In plain English, a drop shipper has a large amount of stock on hand. Could be any product. Depends on the dropshipper. But, this drop shipper is willing to sell his products to you, the ebay seller, at a discount. He will then ship the product to any address you ask him to. Not only that, but his name will not appear on the product anywhere, thus making it appear as though the product has come directly from you.

What are the benefits of dropshipping to you, the eBay seller?

You don’t have to spend any money up front. You don’t pay the drop shipper for the product until you’ve been paid by your customer.

You don’t have to fill up your garage or spare room with products.

You don’t have to pack the item, address it, and take it to the post office.

Here’s an example. You visit your dropshipper’s website. You see that he has 1000 digital cameras for $50 each. You go to eBay and do your research, and find that these exact cameras are selling for around $80 each.

So, you take the pictures of the digital camera from your dropshipper’s web site (with their approval) and put up a listing for this. It sells for $78.

When your auction ends, you receive your customers payment. You then go back to the dropshipper’s website, order the camera for $50, input the customers address as the shipping address, and you’re all done.

You’ve just made $28 for about 30 minutes work and never even touched the product. Not bad, huh?

Dropshipping has revolutionized eBay selling. The biggest problem for sellers has always been about finding products to sell. But, it’s not a problem anymore with drop shippers to help us.

How Can You Promote Your Own Ebay Stores

To really maximise your ebay ebook sales you need to be promoting your eBay store. eBay stores get less exposure than normal eBay listings and therefore will not yield great sales for you unless you promote them. There are many ways both on and off eBay that you can promote your eBay store. This article outlines some of them:

1) Ebay Auction Listings:- eBay Auction and Buy It Now listings get the main exposure on eBay. When someone does an eBay search for an item all the eBay Auction and Buy It Now listings are displayed first. Then after these the eBay Store listings are displayed. Since these Auction and Buy It Now listings are getting the most exposure it makes sense to run a few of these and insert a link to your eBay store inside the actual description. This works especially well with Auction listings as people often click the link so they can buy the item instantly from your eBay store rather than wait for the auction to end.

2) Ebay About Me Page:- The eBay About Me page is one of the best free opportunity’s eBay provides to promote yourself. Every time someone on eBay sees your eBay ID (whether you bid on something, leave feedback, or buy an item) there will be an About Me logo next to it and some people will click this logo. Despite this, it really is one of the most under utilised tools on eBay. If you do not yet have an eBay About Me page yet then get one NOW. Use it to write about your eBay store and tell people why they should buy from you.

3) Ebay Reviews and Guides:- These are a relatively new addition to eBay but they are still a great way to promote your eBay store for free. The reviews section allows you to write product reviews such as CDs and DVDs. The guides section is more relevant to eBay sellers as it allows you to write guides on just about anything. There has got to be some topic that you can write a guide on so get righting now. When people read your guide they are presented with a link to your eBay store which is again more free exposure.

4) Ebay Seller Cross Promotion:- I outlined in the last article that with an eBay store you can cross-promote your items. Recently eBay has also added the ability to cross-promote with other sellers. This is very easy to set up and eBay manages the whole process for you. All you have to do is go to the “Cross-Promotion Connections” area of My eBay and then use the request cross-promotions link in order to set them up. If the other seller agrees then a box promoting their products will appear on your listings and vice versa. This is a valuable way to increase your eBay sales and also generate more traffic to your eBay store.

5) Search Engines:- As I mentioned in my last article you get an actual URL with your eBay store. This URL gets listed in the eBay stores directory and search engines which means extra traffic for your eBay store. What’s more eBay allows you to pick your search engine keywords so you can be listed under the categories that you feel are most appropriate to your eBay store. Getting listed in the search engines is a great way to bring in customers from outside of eBay and maximise your sales potential.

6) Store RSS Feed:- When you access the home page of an eBay store you may notice a small RSS box in the bottom left corner. If you click on this RSS box then you will be shown your store’s RSS feed. Now I myself am not an expert in RSS but I do know that it is another way to promote your eBay store easily and effectively from outside of eBay. You can get some free software that submits your RSS feeds to the main RSS directories by doing a search on Google.

7) Blogging:- For those who don’t know a blog is a weblog. It’s basically like an online journal where you post your thoughts, comments, or whatever else you want. Blogging is an excellent way to get traffic to your eBay store. Quite a few websites offer free blogs which you can sign up for and then link back to your eBay store. Post in it regularly to gain exposure and your blog should soon become a great source of traffic.

8) Article Submission:- There are 100s of article directories out there that will you can submit your articles to, and if accepted you are allowed to have a live link back to your website or eBay store in the author resource box. This is a great way to generate traffic to your website in the long-term as not only do the search engines index your article, but people also reprint these articles on their websites complete with your author resource box (and live link back to your eBay store). The longer your article is online the more it will be reprinted and so the more traffic it will generate.

Hopefully this article has opened your eyes to some of the free and effective promotion methods for your eBay store. At first the fact that eBay Stores do not get as much exposure seems like a major problem but by putting a little effort into promoting it yourself, it can be much more successful than any eBay Auction listing. Till next time good luck with your ebook sales and take care!!!

The Right Ebay Alternative For You

Tell us, who doesn’t know about ebay these days? It’s only the biggest garage sale in the world and millions are logged in at any given time - so that must means anyone with something in his hands to sell has a very good chance of getting some money for it soon enough.

But, is eBay the only auction site? Is there an eBay alternative you can use?

There are two major ones, actually - Amazon and Craigslist. If you’ve been using eBay for some time now you might find these other two a bit too limited in scope. For some, these alternatives might be better because there is less competition.

Amazon.com is considered the primary alternative to eBay. It is easier to use and most users find it to be more direct. There is almost no need to attend to so many email messages like eBay. Items that are usually being sold here are books, CDs, DVDs, video games, or electronic gadgets.

You don’t have to worry too much about description because a brief one (about two sentences) will do. Just don’t forget to mention the condition of the item.

eBay requires its sellers fees for their transactions. If you don’t like to pay any fees for selling and you’re not really happy about leaving your money lying idly in your Paypal account, then Craigslist is a very good option for you.

Transactions in this site are very simple. Sold items are paid in cash and you don’t even have to worry about shipping the items since people around your area can just pick up the item from your place. This is a great way to sell large items like furniture set, for example.

Aside from the two major sites mentioned, there are other smaller sites like Bidville, eCrater, and Blujay.

Bidville is an auction site like eBay and it’s used in similar ways.

It is probably the second largest one online and can be considered the real eBay alternative.

The major difference is that there are no fees required to post items for selling.

Like eBay, there is no limit to the number of items you can post. Sellers who prefer the auction setting for selling, Bidville could be a good media too. Just prepare to pay around 5% for items you’ve sold below $25 - this is what they charge their users and they call it the Final Value Fee.

Aside from an auction style of selling, you can just have an online store where you will display photos of your items and people can choose what they like to buy, something like Amazon or Craigslist. eCrater is considered one of the largest sites for building a an online store.

The best thing about this site is it is completely free to use. You have a nice, professional-looking storefront in a matter of minutes and you have the chance of making a sale.

Blujay is another place to sell online. Like eCrater, the items posted here come out in froogle.com searches and people can easily find out about the items for sale. It is also free to use and members can create an account that will provide them a nice online shop.

It is wise to look for an eBay alternative so you can tap into a wider range of buyers. Just make sure you make a study of these sites so you can sell your items properly and more efficiently.

Ebay Auctioned Some Of The Oddest Items Ever Auctioned On Earth

ebay has become the hotspot for people to sell strange items. Over the past few years, where eBay has grown from a virtually unknown web site to the leading online auction marketplace in the world, some very odd items and services have been offered up for auction on the site. Strangely enough, many of these strange items have sold for thousands even tens of thousands dollars. A few of these items have sold for six or seven figures as well. eBay does have a policy that it takes down any auctions that it sees as not legitimate, but still, it allows many of these strange auctions to take place. In fact, these strange auctions have become part of the culture in America as they appear in Late Night Television shows, comedic sketches, and in thousands of websites and Internet blogs.

The most recent strange auction that was covered on a National scale and fetched a very high price was when a mother found an old lunch box with a cheese sandwich more than a decade old on which mold had formed in the shape of the face of Virgin Mary. The item was put on eBay and sold for $28,000. That’s right, an old moldy sandwich with the shape of a religious figure fetched $28,000 on eBay. Many people have offered other strange services like becoming a fan of a certain team, while others have sold themselves for a week or attempted to sell their families (I am not making any of this up. Some people really do go to far lengths to make some money.)

I always find it very interesting when some item that many would disregard as worthless fetches thousands of dollars. It is truly mind boggling. Each day, tens of thousands of items are placed on eBay and as of late, it is a growing trend to try and sell all the worthless junk you can imagine on the web site, buy spinning the sales pitch to make the item sound one of a kind or very rare and valuable.

Some of the more recent items that were placed on the web site include a x-ray of the stomach of a duck which seems to have an alien inside (sold for the whopping price of $9,600), a French fry in the shape of the Nike logo, and a guy willing to bang his head on a door until he was unconscious for a certain sum of money.

Just note, if you are planning on selling a strange item on eBay, it will not automatically make you thousands, the market is now becoming saturated and many auctions do not sell. The more strange and shocking your auction is, the better chance it has of being sold on eBay.

This is just the tip of the iceberg. There are thousands of other very, very strange eBay auctions going on right now and hundreds more are added daily. Use our eBay product search engine to find some of the strangest items ever sold on eBay. Just type in the term for an item you wouldn’t expect to be sold over the Internet, like "hot dog", and see what you get.

The Keywords Increases Your Ebay Sales!

Competing With Keywords
ebay is the largest and most popular online marketplace on earth! And with this, it is only obvious that ebay is highly competitive, for both the Ebay buyers as well as for Ebay sellers. With millions of entries in the eBay store, it is necessary to use appropriate keywords to manage the store. A keyword is nothing but a significant word in the title or description of an item. Therefore, keywords used in the listing needs to be directly relevant to the items being sold. The right keywords will result in your item being pulled up more often by ebay search, the wrong keyword would result in your item being virtually invisible!

Linking to Customers
In ebay, making money is all about getting as many potential buyers as possible to look at your product. There are different methods to attract customers to your store, including links to specific store-inventory listings, links to customized store, and links to the final landing page. Success on ebay is all about a good linking strategy.

Marketing Through Listing Descriptions
One of the most successful marketing strategies for eBay sellers is to market their Stores within their listing descriptions. It can be most powerful strategy to have adopted in an effective and professional way. The Listing Frame also helps you to merchandise the whole range of items you carry and reinforces your Store’s brand power. Advertise about your product as much as possible and you will be heard! Ebay has its own Advertising System that works with Ebay Searches, so make full use of the free system and get more Ebay Traffic than your competitors!

Understanding the Basics of eBay Listings
Ebay Categories
You can create up to 300 Store categories. Sum of your categories is counted by the sum of all your level 1, level 2, and level 3 entries. For example, you can either go for 300 level 1 categories or divide them into 30 level 1 categories with 10 subcategories thereof. You will want to note that eBay creates a default level 1 category named as "Other Items" that cannot be edited and does count towards the 300 category limit. So now, how do you optimize the entries for keyword searches?

For one, you need not be under the impression that eBay items are only searchable within there. So decide on your primary keyword first. For example, if the list includes a SONY DIGITAL SLR Camera, the keyword for the category would be CAMERAS, and the Level-1 sub-category would be DIGITAL SLR and the Level-2 sub-category listed as SONY. In such a listing, the sub-categories may include other types and makes of cameras also. On the same lines, supposing that you are listing fashion garments and dresses for children, the keyword would be dresses with appropriate sub-categories. Know your categories well and your item will definitely receive way more searches than your competitors!

Ebay Keyword Research Summary
So, going by the rule of thumb, effective optimization would call for primary keyword, if available, the 2nd too, to be included in the title. You keyword must appear 3-5 times in the description but concentrated towards first and last paragraphs. It might take time but not impossible to master the art. So now that you know more about how you can get more traffic than your competitor using basic keyword and category listing, go on! Implement what you have learnt and you will succeed! How to Start A Successful Ebay Business Having a successful ebay business is not impossible; however, there are a few key strategies which you have to be aware of when starting your very own ebay business. Offline business share many similar key characteristics as online business. However, they do not share all the same characteristics. This is the number one reason why majority of ebay sellers are not making a ton of money! Be the 10% of Ebay sellers who are making 90% of the money on ebay today! Ebay Selling has never been easier! So, Start your very own Ebay Business today!

How To Distinguish The Difference Between Auctions

Learning about auctions on and offline can be fun and informative. In this article you’ll discover the differences between various types of auctions.

English auction: This is what most people think of as an auction. Participants bid openly against one another, with each bid being higher than the previous bid. The auction ends when no participant is willing to bid further, or when a pre-determined "buy-out" price is reached, at which point the highest bidder pays the price. The seller may set a ‘reserve’ price and if the auctioneer fails to raise a bid higher than this reserve the sale may not go ahead.

Dutch auction: In the traditional Dutch auction the auctioneer begins with a high asking price which is lowered until some participant is willing to accept the auctioneer’s price, or a predetermined minimum price is reached. That participant pays the last announced price. This type of auction is convenient when it is important to auction goods quickly, since a sale never requires more than one bid.

The Dutch auction is named for its best known example, the Dutch tulip auctions; in the Netherlands this type of auction is actually known as a "Chinese auction". "Dutch auction" is also sometimes used to describe online auctions where several identical goods are sold simultaneously to an equal number of high bidders. Economists call the latter auction a multi-unit English ascending auction.

Sealed High-Bid Auction: In this type of auction all bidders simultaneously submit bids so that no bidder knows the bid of any other participant. The highest bidder pays the price they submitted.

Vickrey auction: Also known as the sealed second-price auction. This is identical to the sealed high-bid auction, except the winning bidder pays the second highest bid rather than their own.

Silent auction: This is a sealed variant often used in charity events, but involving the simultaneous sale of multiple items. Participants submit bids normally on paper, near the item. They may or may not know how many other people are bidding or what their bids are. The highest bidder pays the price they submitted.

Procurement auction: This kind of auction reverses the roles of seller and buyer. The buyer puts out an RFQ for a given commodity and providers offer progressively lower prices in hopes of getting the business. At the end of the auction, the lowest bid wins.

Digital art auction: In this indefinitely long auction, designed for unreleased works that are trivially reproducible at zero cost (recordings, software, drug formulae), bidders openly submit their maximum bids. The seller may review the bids and close with a price of their choosing at any time. The successful bidders that pay this price are those whose bid meets or exceeds it.

Open outcry auction: This type of auction can refer to any auction where the auction is conducted orally for people to hear typically used in stock exchanges and commodity exchanges, where trading occurs on a trading floor and traders may enter verbal bids and offers simultaneously. This type of auction is being replaced by electronic trading platforms.

Unique bid auction: In this type of auction users post blind bids and are given a range of prices they can place a bid in, often a capped limit. The highest, or lowest, unique bid wins. For instance an auction is given a maximum bid of 10. If the top five bids are 10, 10, 9, 8, 8 then 9 would be the winner being the highest unique bid. This is a popular online type of auction.

Buy-out auction: This auction has a predetermined buy-out price in which the bidder can end the auction by accepting the buy-out price. The buy-out price is set by the seller. The bidder can choose to bid or use the buy-out option. If no bidder chooses to utilize the buy-out option, the auction ends with the highest bidder winning the auction. You can often find this type of auction on ebay.

Be sure you understand the type of auction you are participating in before it starts. Sometimes mistakes made at an auction can smart and be costly if you don’t know what you are doing.
